This isn't for everyone. That's deliberate

This is for you if...

  • You want to build a business you own

  • You're happy working outdoors

  • You'll put in the time whilst building your rounds

  • You can picture yourself running this in 10 years

This is probably not for you if...

  • You want a hands-off investment

  • You're looking to get rich quick

  • You'd rather not knock on doors or talk to customers

  • You see this as a stopgap

Who's behind it

Paul Needham, founder of Sky High Window Cleaning

"In 2005 I started with a £500 van, a bucket, and no idea what 'business' even meant."

What I had was belief, drive, and a willingness to knock on doors. Often nerve-racking, especially the bigger houses. But it worked. Referrals turned into long-term customers, and the business grew into a 4–5 van operation with staff and office systems.

After years of building it from nothing, I wanted to give other people that same opportunity: to build something they're proud of, and earn every customer themselves.

That's what Sky High Window Cleaning franchises are built on. Real experience, not theory.

From the network

Mark, Sky High franchisee in North Somerset

"I started as an employee cleaning windows for Paul. A year in, I bought my own franchise, and a year after that I bought a second territory to keep building."

Mark · North Somerset
Gary, Sky High franchisee in Surrey North

"I have absolutely no regrets about buying into the Sky High franchise. I'm loving being my own boss, building my own business and seeing it grow month by month.

The support is there when I need it, but I still have the freedom to make the business my own. I genuinely wish I'd made the move sooner."

Straight answers to the questions everyone asks

The fees, the contract and the small print, answered up front. If yours isn't here, ask Steve.

The money

What does it cost to get started?

£17,950, paid once.

That covers the full equipment package, initial training and PASMA certification, vehicle branding and uniform, the operations app, your own landing page and website, and 2 months of free marketing. Your van is not included. You supply your own.

What are the ongoing fees?

A 10% management fee, capped at £600 a month.

Every other running cost is set out in the financial forecast we share with you, so you can see the full picture before you commit.

Can I get funding?

Yes. 100% funding options are available.

Our finance partners work with government-backed loans. One of our franchisees had his funding sorted within weeks, with almost nothing out of his own pocket.

How much do franchisees actually earn?

Most current franchisees turn over £4,500 to £9,000 a month from a single territory.

Your running costs (fuel, van, insurance, any staff) come out of that, and they vary with how you run the business. Results depend on territory and effort, and are not guaranteed.

How long until I break even?

7 months, on average.

Some franchisees get there sooner, some later. Steve can talk you through what the first year typically looks like.

Your territory and customers

Is my territory really exclusive?

Yes, and it is written into your franchise agreement.

Your territory covers around 200,000 homes and businesses. No other Sky High franchisee can operate in it, except in specific circumstances agreed in the contract.

Where do my customers come from?

From national and local marketing run by our team, plus your own referrals.

That includes digital advertising, SEO, social media and online enquiries. Lead volumes vary by territory, and nobody can guarantee customer numbers. What we can show you is how established territories are performing today.

Who owns the customer database?

The customer database stays part of the Sky High franchise network.

The equipment, though, is yours outright (see below). Ask Steve to take you through exactly what this means in practice.

Doing the job

Do I need window cleaning or business experience?

No.

Training covers every service you will offer, including roof cleaning, pressure washing and soft washing, plus PASMA certification. Franchisees tell us the business management side turned out to be the easiest part.

Can I start alongside my current job?

It is possible. Talk to Steve about a plan that fits you.

One of our franchisees built his round gradually while still working nights, then went full time once he had enough regular customers.

What support do I get after launch?

Support is available 7 days a week.

You get an AI-powered operations manual, a franchise WhatsApp group, mentoring and coaching, and Paul at the end of the phone. If equipment breaks down, we work with trusted suppliers to get you back out quickly.

Who owns the equipment?

You do.

Everything in the equipment package belongs to you: the 500-litre van-mounted system, water-fed poles, roof cleaning kit, gutter vacuum, pressure washer and generator.

Is insurance included?

Insurance is arranged through a trusted third-party provider.

We will point you to the right cover and help you set it up.

Committing

How long is the franchise agreement?

Five years.

It's a long-term business, and the agreement is built that way.

Can I read the agreement before I commit?

Yes, in full.

We recommend you take independent legal advice before you sign. The agreement also sets out clear procedures for resolving disputes.

Can I speak to current franchisees?

Yes.

Ask Steve and he'll put you in touch, so you can hear what it is really like from someone already doing it.
